In the 'Toy' Valley, our hotels Les Templiers *** and Des Cimes ** in Luz St Sauveur will become the base camp for all of your mountain activities in summer and in winter.

Midway between Lourdes and Gavarnie, the village of Luz St Sauveur is at a corssroads between the Pyrenees National Park, the Néouvielle Nature Reserve and the cross-border massif of 'Mont-Perdu', which is a UNESCO natural and cultural world heritage site. As bearer of the 'Esprit Parc' brand, we are concerned about respecting the environment and bring you offers in line with the local heritage and its actors.

Pyrenees National Park & Mont perdu heritage

mont perdu

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for natural and cultural landscapes, the Pyrenees Mont-Perdu site is a collection of several peaks, canyons and cirques in Spain and France ... all centered around the Pic du Mont Perdu. This World Heritage includes on the Spanish side two of the widest canyons in Europe and, on the French side, the three important cirques of glacial origin of Troumouse, Estaubé and Gavarnie. All this constitutes an impressive set of geological formations. In addition, the shapes of the landscape and its pastures bear witness to traditional and historical pastoral activity, traces of which are still present.

Winter 2021: What to do despite the chair lift closures?

Although the health crisis complicates our current activities, you will still find a thousand things to occupy you during your stay here. The walks in the mountains made magical by the snow are not to be missed and you can even push this discovery further with our advice on snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ski touring trails in the surroundings. If you want to fully discover this experience, there are several snowshoe and cross-country ski guides in the village of Luz-St-Sauveur. Discover the mountain differently!

The slopes of the surrounding resorts are still groomed, which will allow you to enjoy pleasant descents on ski or snowboard, at all levels! Beginners will find slopes that are easy to go down and up, a good idea for learning to ski. Intermediates (and beginners, after a few days) will be able to climb to the top of the green and blue slopes, while more advanced skiers will be able to enjoy the top of the red, black and off-piste slopes! The stations remain signposted and secure in specific areas.

There are also many sports and fun options such as fatbiking, splitboarding, sledding and paragliding!
